frathypengood afternoon my lovelies!
i've decided i want to try out writing music rec posts! i love music all around, i am one of those people who says they listen to everything lol. i believe there are no objectively bad genres, just good vs bad music within said genre. i think music is a wonderful artform that can connect people worldwide, as do most other music lovers. these recs will range many genres and vibes! along with varying popularity, maybe you'll see something you've heard so many times before or something completely new to you :)
i will also mention in this first post that i do not subscribe to the whole if they're cancelled/problematic you shouldn't listen to them. there's a lot of bands/artists i still greatly enjoy the music from while they are also considered "cancelled". obviously i do not endorse nor agree with anything a band/artist has done whether confirmed or alleged. i feel as though this should be common sense but just in case! onto my rec for today:
Miserabilia - Los Campesinos!
this song doesn't have an official music video or lyric video so i attached a fan-made lyric video.
this is one of my favorite bands of all time! i discovered them a few years ago and fell in love with the indie-ness of it all. (the indie genre will probably pop up in these posts quite a lot) i love this song, it's in my top 5 of favorites from this band. if you like this song i would also recommend listening to the we are beautiful, we are doomed album!
one of my favorite memories was seeing this band live last summer with my two best friends (roommates)! they put on a great show :)

Go you! I hate cancel culture, it just diminishes the arts and makes people miserable. Don't like, don't buy.
